about us

an.nur is the result of two friends bundling their dreams and talents. Sacha and Moniek joined forces to found a new interior brand.

Sacha is a designer and stylist. She has been working for several high-end Dutch fashion labels. Sacha’s keywords are quality, clean-cut and using classical elements in an unconventional manner. Moniek has proved her talent for business, and an.nur represents the realisation of her dream to become an entrepreneur. Sacha was the perfect partner to make that dream a reality. The combination of Moniek's business insights with Sacha's design skills and their shared view on aesthethic values is what makes them a great team.

The name an.nur was inspired by An-Nur meaning "the light" in Arabic. At an.nur, we love creating products made with a great deal of attention, using high quality- and fair materials.

All of our products are ethically sourced, which means they are produced and purchased in a manner that demonstrates respect for the people who make them, as well as for the environment. That’s why part of our products are made-to-order and almost entirely made by hand.

Our collection started with functional, clean-cut and elegant baby pieces that fit the grown-up home. As soon as you enter the world of becoming a parent, you're flooded with flashy, low quality items, built to become redundant within less than a year. Our planet deserves better. We created an.nur to change that.

It was our dream to make a collection for the entire family, with investment pieces that grow along with you. To become treasured heirlooms, to pass them on, to renew their function, or sometimes even upcycle them into new beautiful products.

The past few years we've grown in so many ways. Building a company that can stand the test of time is hard work. Through ups and downs, we've laughed, cried and as a consequence always learned. It all comes together in our new collection we are home.
In so many ways this collection feels like homecoming. Creating meaningful pieces that last, is what drives us. We genuinely believe that by investing in long-lasting and honest pieces, you'll appreciate them all the more, and your need to buy more will become less."
